David Haye is a British professional boxer and former World Heavyweight Champion. David rose to prominence in 2009 when he defeated the then two-time WBA champion Nikolay Valuev in Nuremberg, Germany. ‘The Hayemaker’ successfully defended the WBA title twice in 2010.
Away from the ring, David has launched his own world leading personal training club PT Club in connection with trainer Ruben Tabares and can be seen on television as a commentator for ESPN, HBO and Sky Sports.
David also appeared on Sport Relief with David Ginola and Miranda Hart for a sketch written specifically for both David’s by Miranda herself. He also had his own documentary series on Sky 1 interviewing and giving boxing tips to various celebrities.
David does a lot of work with youth in the community to encourage them to better themselves through sport. He also acts as a mentor to schoolchildren in the British Airways’ Flying Start programme in connection with Sport Relief.
David has his own range of vegan protein drinks. He was named PETA’s sexiest vegan celebrity of 2014. He also has his own Hayemaker brand of T-shirts.
David victoriously returned to boxing in January 2016 taking only 130 seconds to defeat Mark De Mori. David made similarly light work of his second opponent Arnold Gjergjaj, defeating him in the second round. David is now set to fight Tony Bellew.
